Many of our guests are families with young children. To these new generations we must instil in them a passion for nature and hiking and for this we must look for routes suitable for all ages, such as the one we present to you.
The trail is divided into 2 sections, passing by two emblematic fountains of the Sierra de Aitana: La Font del Molí and La Font de Partegat.
Section I: From La Colina de Charly to la Font del Molí.
This is a stretch of less than 850 metres on a very quiet asphalted road (10 minutes walking). At the Font del Molí we will enjoy the high quality water from which Benimantell is supplied.
During the early 20th century, the area around this spot was a meeting place for Alicante intellectuals such as the musician Oscar Esplá, the painter Emilio Varela, the architect Juan Vidal and the writer Gabriel Miró.
Section II: From the Font del Molí to the Font de Partegat, a recreational area belonging to the municipality of Benifato.
Starting from the Font del Molí, we will find the path perfectly signposted, about four kilometres, approximately a walk of one hour, in which we will cross fields of almond and cherry trees, highly recommended for the months of February and March.
If we still want to extend the route we can return, from the Font de Partegat to Benimantell, turning this route into the “Sender de la Serra”, a circular route that begins and ends in Benimantell and is perfectly signposted. It is approximately 12 km long and takes about 3 hours walking.
However, the difference in altitude does not exceed 390 metres, so it is accessible to everyone, and on the way we can visit the Corral del Soliguer and even an old snow well.
